50% deposit with balance due on completion. Some installations are over several days so we invoice on commencement of work.
If we have undertaken to move your furniture please note the following:
We will move: major items of furniture BUT wardrobes and drawers need to be empty as they can make furniture too heavy to lift. Book shelves need to be cleared, all small items off shelves and window sills need to be removed. Floor coverings can be bulky and difficult to manoeuvre and we don’t want to cause unnecessary damage.
Could you please remove bedding off beds too if beds are to be handled. Cupboards carpet is to go into need to be empty too.
We don’t move: valuable antiques for example Grandfather Clocks, this is your responsibility.
We don’t move: TV’s Computers and Hi Fi equipment, they are complicated and sometimes difficult to re connect.
We don't move: Kitchens or large double door fridges/freezers. large fridges and freezers need to be out of the areas where flooring is being installed.
This does not include removing furniture and effects or removing the old floor coverings. Please check your estimate if you have asked us to carry out any of these tasks.
We try to foresee this problem but it isn’t always obvious that we may have a problem nailing into the floor. If we have to stick the grippers there will be an additional charge. Please make our installer aware of any hidden pipes or cables.
We do try to minimise damage to decoration, but it is sometimes difficult to manoeuvre large carpets into the designated area for installation. Floor coverings can be bulky and difficult to manoeuvre and we don’t want to cause unnecessary damage and do try to minimise this. Also new paintwork needs to be thoroughly dry and hardened (5-7 days is recommended) The backing of carpets tends to be slightly rough this can slightly scuff some finishes particularly ‘eggshell finish’. Please speak to us so we can clarify the situation for you.
Should doors require adjustment to accommodate your new floor we can carry this out at a cost of £27.00 per door. Our installers will normally cut standard painted doors but solid/veneered and glazed doors we recommend you employing a carpenter.
The fitters are instructed to tidy up and vacuum after installing your floor. Large offcuts are normally left with you. We have an edging service if required please enquire the current price per metre.
Carpets do shade from use, this is normal and not a fault. If you have read our advice on buying your carpet you will understand the differences the type of pile makes to this.
Most manufacturers DO NOT guarantee a colour match between 4 and 5m widths, also the sample you are choosing from will be from a different batch and very slightly different.
Whilst every effort is made to deliver and fit to arranged days and times all promises and statements are approximate only, and to deliver or fit on the stated date and time shall not render us liable for lost time and consequential costs.
We really do try to be on time but we are a large team and it is impossible to foresee sickness etc. Installations are rarely the same so it is not easy to be specific on arrival times. First job of the day is usually 9-10am
Now you have read our terms and conditions and notes we hope we have clarified most common aspects of installation, but please speak to the person you are dealing with on any concerns you may have. We want you to be happy with your carpet and understand what is required for this is to be achieved.

We usually remove empty boxes and offcuts and leave the areas clean and tidy.
Wood is a natural product and each plank and piece will be different, the grain and its differing degrees of tightness does affect the colour intensity. Some wood will have amounts of lighter wood in the planks ( sap wood) For example the sample board you have chosen from will be different to the actual wood you receive there are no two planks the same ! Wood is wood natural and individual.
Depending on the flooring you actually choose we install in different ways. Wood floors are sometimes glued down, some floated. Karndean and LVT is also fully adhered to the prepared subfloor. Concrete floors are usually ‘screeded and wood floors ‘plyboarded’.
Important to note. Sometimes it is not possible to see the sub floor due to existing floor coverings being in situ, As we have been unable to inspect this extra costs maybe incurred.
As you can imagine this floor preparation is time consuming and with the screed needs time to dry. It is helpful if our installers can have easy access as they may be, for example screeding your kitchen in the morning and fitting someone else’s in the afternoon So please access is important to be flexible time wise.
